About Windshield Company

Plain guides about windshields and auto glass.

What we do

We publish general guides about vehicle windshields and auto glass: chips and cracks, repair and replacement in general terms, OEM and aftermarket glass, federal glass standards, wipers and defrosting, driver assistance features as NHTSA describes them, and questions to ask your insurer.

What we do not do

Windshield Company is the name of this site. We are not a glass shop, insurer, or agent. We do not schedule, quote, refer, or connect you with any glass shop, insurer, or agent. We do not repair, replace, or calibrate anything. We do not publish prices, deals, reviews, ratings, rankings, or product picks, and we do not claim to have tested anything. Commissions do not change our guidance. We do not accept payment to recommend a retailer, brand, or product.

How we keep it accurate

Sourced facts come from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Federal Trade Commission, federal motor vehicle safety standards, and the Florida Statutes, each linked on the page that uses it. None of them endorses this site. Plain descriptions on this site, such as what chip, crack, pitting, OEM, and aftermarket mean here, are our own.

Who runs the site

Windshield Company is operated by X Enterprises, LLC, Bothell, WA.
