Be cautious
Some states restrict offers of cash, gifts, or other incentives for filing a glass claim, and some restrict signing over your insurance benefits to a shop. Be cautious of any such offer, and ask your insurer.
Florida: offers
In Florida, Florida Statutes 559.920(17) makes it unlawful for a motor vehicle repair shop or its employee to "offer to a customer a rebate, gift, gift card, cash, coupon, or any other thing of value in exchange for making an insurance claim for motor vehicle glass replacement or repair, including, but not limited to, calibration or recalibration of an advanced driver assistance system. A nonemployee who is compensated for the solicitation of insurance claims is also prohibited from making such offer." This is general information, not legal advice.
Florida: signing over benefits
Florida Statutes 627.7289(1) says an assignment agreement of post-loss benefits for motor vehicle glass replacement or repair, under a policy issued or renewed in Florida on or after July 1, 2023, "is void and unenforceable." This is general information, not legal advice.
Get it in writing
The FTC says to ask for a written estimate and "Make sure you get a signed copy." It also says to get a completed repair order describing the work done.
Complaints
The FTC says your state Attorney General's office or local consumer protection agency may know whether there is a record of complaints about a particular repair shop.

FAQ
General information only. We are not a glass shop, insurer, or agent, and we do not schedule, quote, or refer. Whether your policy covers glass damage, and what you would pay, depend on your policy and your insurer; read your policy and ask your insurer or agent. If your vehicle has driver assistance features, follow your vehicle maker's instructions and owner's manual on any calibration after glass work.
